Getting to Know You: Dapper Dans

One of the biggest hidden gems of Walt Disney World are the characters that make up the “streetmosphere.”

You will find them along Main Street U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom, walking the streets of Hollywood at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and hidden among the jungles.

One of the most iconic groups of characters that you can meet on Main Street U.S.A. is the Barbershop Quartet, The Dapper Dans.

Singing traditional barbershop music, with a Disney twist, The Dapper Dans perform about every two hours at the Magic Kingdom until the early evening.

They are a great show that combines a little of music, vaudevillian humor and Deagan Organ Chimes. Some of the songs that are a part of their repitour including “Cruella de Vil,” “Yankee Doodle Dandy,” “Somebody Stole My Gal,” “Mr. Sandman,” “If You’re Happy and You Know it,” “Zip-a-Dee Doo Dah” and more, according to Disney’s website.

Just like many of the other actors at Disney, The Dapper Dans like to get in on the act and dress up as The Cadaver Dans.
